Project Examples

Requirements

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

Project examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and writing about sociological theories as they apply to a wide range of everyday interactions and institutions;
  • Compare and critique healthcare organizations, systems, and approaches;
  • Evaluate the evolution and impact of health programs and healthcare delivery on population health outcomes;
  • Develop communication tools for patient, clients, or the general population on issues relating to healthcare;
  • Develop a database of useful tools or information for clients or the organizations use;
  • Communicate with clients about services offered by a healthcare agency;
  • Co-Lead virtual workshops for youth on issues related to health and society
